You have probably seen Datamancer’s piece of art – his amazing steampunk-modified laptop. If you’re into steampunk you would probably love to own this gem yourself. I’m not sure what happened with his artwork after Datamancer passed away, but the pieces that were available for sales during his lifetime were nowhere near cheap.
His work is truly amazing, but very difficult to emulate. And I have digged through Internet to try to find any kind of tutorial that would enable mere mortals to at least try to make something similar. Luckily, I found the tutorial from Admiral Aaron Ravensdale who was kind enough to share step-by-step process how he’s made this beauty reapear:
It is maybe not as fancy as Datamancer’s piece of work, but is none the less steampunkishly beautiful. And even better, with given instructions you can try to make one such beauty yourself. You only need to arm yourself with a laptop, materials and not_so_savvy skills as much as dedication and persistence.
Suddenly u can rise with splendid masterpiece like the one on vid.
